One morning I woke
up and didn’t know who I was. I
didn’t have memory loss or anything like that.
I had a wonderful husband and two wonderful children.
But there was a part of me that was missing.
Kind of like a piece out of a puzzle.
That part of me was art. Somewhere
along the way, I had given up my art because there simply was no time.
I was busy being a wife and mother and also a full-time partner in
business with my husband. I
can remember always telling others, that saying you didn’t have enough
time was just an excuse. You
can always find time to do those things that are really important to you.
But, I wasn’t doing that.
I can remember as
a small child I would entertain myself in my room by drawing pictures.
I was a quiet child and it was my way of feeling good about myself.
I had a favorite teacher who encouraged me and pushed me to strive
to do my best. She told me I
had a gift that a lot of people did not have and I should use it.
I continued to take art classes all through school.
My ambition was to become an art teacher.
However, I succumbed to all those negative comments from others
about how you could never make a living at art.
I gave up on my dreams.
I don’t know
quite what shook me up enough to realize that I needed to get back to art.
All I know for sure is that I’m glad I got shook up and I’ll
never go without my art again. If
they had to cut my hands off, I’d find a way to paint with my feet!!
My items I have on
my website represent the things I love.
I love flowers, sunsets, oceans & waves, lighthouses, just to
name a few. I’d also like
to inspire other people to follow their dreams and passions and to never
give up. Some of my items are
personalized with inspirational messages.
My artwork isn’t just paint on a surface.
It’s a reflection of my hopes, dreams and loves coming from my
heart. I hope if you purchase
an item, you’ll feel the special effort and passion that goes along with
it.
